UNM College of Nursing First-Generation Celebration
- What: Join the UNM College of Nursing in celebrating the unique journeys and future impact of first-generation nursing students as they balance rigorous academics, personal growth, and the calling to care for others.

First-Generation Parenting Students: Lunch & Learn
- What: Celebrate and support first-generation parenting students as we explore their unique challenges and strengths. Learn how staff and initiatives like Generation Hope’s FamilyU are helping student parents thrive in college and beyond. (Note: bring your own lunch, food not provided)

UNM-Taos First-Generation Testimonios/Conversation
- What: Join fellow first-gen studetns, alumni, and staff for conversation and poem workshop about what it means to be a first-generation student and explore how these students can be supported through their college experience.

Supporting First-Generation Student Well-Being Webinar & Panel
- What: Join us for a dynamic discussion on the mental health and basic needs of first-generation college students. Hear from students and staff as they share insights, challenges, and strategies for building a supportive and thriving campus environment.

UNM-Gallup First-Generation Celebration
- What: Celebrate the resilience and achievements of first-generation students at UNM-Gallup! Join us for an inspiring event that honors their journeys, builds community, and highlights the support systems helping them thrive in college and beyond.
- When: 10 am to 12:00 pm
- Where: Center for Academic Learning

UNM-Taos First-Generation Celebration
- What: Celebrate the resilience and achievements of first-generation students at UNM-Taos! Join us for a showcase of first-generation stories from students, faculty, and staff, distribution of t-shirts to raffle winners, and a taquitos/chip and salsa bar!

Friday, November 7
UNM-Albuquerque First-Generation Celebration
- What: Recognize our first-generation college students with special remarks from UNM President Stokes, the NMHED Deputy Secretary of Higher Education, and local representatives. Saturday, November 8
First-Generation Student Athletes Recognition
- What: Celebrate our first-generation student-athletes during halftime as we honor their dedication on and off the court. Stop by the resource tables to learn how we support first-gen success—and grab some swag while you're there!
